Download Rost Lab software

The Rost Lab provides many of the methods run in PredictProtein as debian packages.

Users with debian operating systems (such as Ubuntu) can easily obtain the software by following these guides:
  1. Installing a Rost Lab package step by step.
  2. A list of packages available from the Rost Lab.
The Rost Lab also provides wiki pages on how to obtain and install individual methods:
  • PROFphd - secondary structure and solvent accessibility predictor
  • SNAP - a method for evaluating effects of single amino acid substitutions on protein function
  • LOCtree - a prediction method for sub-cellular localization of proteins
  • PROFbval - predicts flexibile/rigid residues from sequence
  • NORSnet - identifies unstructured loops from sequence
  • PredictCellCycle - determine estimates for involvement in the cell cycle process
  • ASP - conformational switch prediction
  • profchop - a prediction method for protein domain boundaries

Please report bugs at our bugzilla repository

You are welcome to contribute other (especially 'rpm') types of packages to our repository.
